PST CLC Mitsui-Soko has seen further success. It won the tender for internal logistics services at the Philip Morris ČR plant in Kutná Hora, where it has provided these services before. The contract has been extended for three years, with up to a two-year option. PST CLC Mitsui-Soko has been providing services for Philip Morris ČR for 17 years. The project is covered by approximately 200 staff.
„We are glad that we have managed to win the tender in Philip Morris ČR. Our goal is to maintain a high level of service and to continue to be a quality supplier of value-added logistics services for Philip Morris ČR. We would also like to expand the scope of services for this client in areas where they use outsourced logistics,“ says Jiří Bradna, Vice-Chairman of the Board and Commercial Director of PST CLC Mitsui-Soko.
Efficient intralogistics, a necessity for successful production
And what decided the tender? „I think our success is based on long-term client satisfaction and our ability to meet growing demands in a frequently changing environment. We offered a solution that is ideal for both parties. However, we are always up against very strong competitors in tenders, but we continue to succeed because of the quality we offer and the assurances we translate into our services. In the long term, we provide internal logistics efficiently and in such a way that neither the production nor the end customers of Philip Morris ČR are compromised. Of course, price always plays a role as well,“ says Igor Staš, Operations Manager of PST CLC Mitsui-Soko. He adds that the company has managed to expand its services over the past two years and is very appreciative of the excellent partnership.
Complete replacement of the handling equipment fleet
The company sees the further extension of the contract with Philip Morris ČR as a great prestige. „This long-term reference has helped us in our expansion in Slovakia. In addition, we are constantly trying to innovate our processes. We have implemented a digital twin in Philip Morris ČR, thanks to which we have made a number of optimizations,“ says Igor Staš and continues. One of them will be the laser positioning of the forks on the retractors. The trucks will be li-ion battery trucks, which will allow Philip Morris CR to cancel the gas station. So the near future will be greener.“
